26 Jun 2026

With 26,379 visitors over three days, Interpets Osaka – A Fair for a Better Life with Pets – celebrated its largest and most dynamic edition to date, recording an impressive 41% visitor increase compared to the previous edition. Held from 13 – 15 June 2025 at INTEX Osaka Halls 1 to 3, the fair brought together a record-high 318 exhibitors from nine countries and regions. Exhibits spanned a wide range of categories, including pet food and treats, fashion, healthcare, and the debut of a new “Pet Tech” zone, showcasing cutting-edge digital and smart solutions for pet care.

A central theme this year was disaster preparedness, conveyed under the message “Pets are irreplaceable members of the family.” The dedicated segment of the fringe programme encouraged owners to reflect on how they could protect their loved ones in an emergency. Activities included a disaster readiness quiz rally, an emergency bag weight simulation, and the distribution of a practical emergency preparedness handbook. These hands-on elements proved popular, inspiring and equipping visitors with the confidence and practical know-how to face unexpected situations with greater assurance.

The fair also welcomed cat lovers with a community-driven feature titled InterCats. Visitors could post heartfelt messages to their felines on a message board and join a giveaway featuring generous prizes from brand sponsors. Although this year’s content was more focused in scope, strong engagement has prompted plans for a more expanded, cat-focused showcase at the 2026 edition.

In total, Interpets Osaka 2025 featured 26 seminars and workshops. These included a keynote speech by former professional baseball player Mr Tomoya Satozaki, as well as talks by pet industry experts and a special presentation by the Osaka Veterinary Medical Association highlighting real-life pet evacuation strategies. The public days were filled with interactive workshops and stage events, offering practical insights and joyful experiences for pet lovers of all ages.

Exhibitor feedback
“We exhibited with the aim of expanding the reach of our TAVO brand, which includes pet-related car accessories, across western Japan. The show gave us valuable opportunities to connect with visitors from the region, including more remote areas such as Shikoku and the western mainland, and we felt a strong sense of potential for new business. In western Japan, where people tend to rely on cars in their daily lives, we were able to engage with high-quality customers who align closely with our target demographic.”
Ms Hitomi Yamamoto, Marketing Manager, TAVO/NUNA Japan

“Having exhibited since the first edition, we have seen a steady increase in brand recognition. We now welcome visitors who head straight to our stand when the doors open, as well as loyal customers who say, ‘This is the only place I buy from.’ Each year, the event helps us secure multiple wholesale deals, and has also led to collaboration with other industries and partnerships with fellow exhibitors. Interpets Osaka has become an essential platform for our brand’s growth.”
Ms Kaoru Nakajima, CEO, VIVIANA

“The presence of so many appealing and well-known exhibitors made it easy to invite potential business partners – many of whom were happy to drop by our stand while visiting others. As a result, we are now engaged in several promising negotiations for new contracts. Compared to other pet-related events we have attended, the footfall at Interpets Osaka is on an entirely different scale. Retail sales to consumers here were also double what we initially projected, reaffirming the significant influence of this show.”
Mr Shingo Haku, General Manager, J&K animals
