The cat-exclusive zone, set to facilitate targeted insight exchange and networking opportunities, will debut at the 4th edition of Interpets Osaka from 19 – 21 June 2026 at INTEX Osaka Halls 1, 2, 4 and 5. As one of Western Japan’s largest international pet industry fairs, the platform will showcase a wide range of pet-related products and services, including food and treats, fashion, mobility products, healthcare, grooming, and lifestyle solutions. The fair is expected to welcome approximately 400 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, and around 30,000 visitors at the three-day show. Following the success of April’s Interpets Tokyo, Japan’s largest pet industry trade fair, Interpets Osaka continues to strengthen its role as a gateway to the growing pet market in Western Japan, striving to provide a better life for all pets – from birds and fish to feline companions. In fact, Japan is home to an estimated 8.85 million pet cats[1], a higher total than pet dogs, and the upcoming edition is set to better serve this strong market subsector.

As such, one of the key highlights of Interpets Osaka 2026 is the launch of Intercats, a larger, newly branded feline-focused zone dedicated to relevant products, solutions, services and market trends, reflecting growing demand for high-quality pet care and premium pet lifestyles in Japan. In addition to exhibitors’ booths, Intercats will present market-focused fringe events highlighting emerging developments and innovations in the feline sub-sector.

Across the fairground, other categories of pet-related products and services will be showcased by a variety of exhibitors, while live events and special seminars will address professional grooming techniques, pet care expertise, and evolving lifestyle trends in the wider industry. Featured activities include the Happy Grooming Contest, showcasing the skills of professional groomers from across Japan, alongside interactive demonstrations and educational programmes related to pet care and wellbeing. Business forums held during the fair will explore topics shaping the companion animal market, including consumer trends, pet healthcare, safety, and lifestyle-oriented products and services.

Interpets Osaka provides trade visitors with opportunities to discover new products, gain market insights and build business connections in one of Asia’s most active pet markets.
